Each Dell Oracle Database Solution configuration is supplied with Solution Deployment CD images that are used to help automate the setup of the PowerEdge servers for the solution. The solution deployment CD images are downloaded by customers and burned to CD media in advance of solution deployment.

Based upon the PowerEdge Installation and Systems Management CDs, the Solution Deployment CDs include a utility to automate the deployment of the server operating system, all required server firmware and drivers as well as Dell OpenManage systems management software for the server. The Solution Deployment CD image guides the setup of the server and cooperates with the operating system deployment CDs to install and configure the operating system. During this installation, key parameters are set in the operating system to enhance performance when the database server is installed.
