External Account Manager

Summary
Responsible for the management of assigned accounts by developing partnerships and through the coordination of Internal Sales, sales operations and technical support teams. Responsible for increasing account penetration, customer satisfaction and sales growth for short and long term results.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To sell Dell products and services by responding to inbound or placing outbound customer calls, overcoming objections and preparing offers.
  • To establish customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel such as purchasing, management and end users, manage expectations and enhancing the customer experience .
  • To manage accounts to maximise customer opportunities.
  • To maintain and report on sales activities such as lost sales and leasing to identify buyer/buying influences.
  • To maintain awareness of market conditions and competitors' products and pricing.
  • To provide technical and administrative information and quote prices.
  • To mail marketing/sales literature to prospective clients.
  • To prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
  • To establish customer profiles including annual spend, compeititor and current contracts by product
  • To develop mini-programs to cross sell within your account base.
  • To assist with issues relating to customer debt.
  • To forecast account revenues by analysing various sales reports such as quotas -v- actual performance, lost sales and leasing .
  • To present and demonstrate products and services to potential customers at trade shows and/or on-site to increase exposure of products and services, when required.

Internal Sales Manager

Summary
Responsible for managing the internal sales force selling to large complex customers. Motivate sales force to sell products and services through effective micro management of sales, career development, reporting mechanisms and one-on-one relationship building.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attain targeted sales goals and performance through the effective management of the daily operations of the internal sales force.
  • Maintain a weekly and daily reliable product and sales forecast summary for the assigned segments, also providing a clear indication of potential business both quarterly and beyond.
  • Set and manage to sales makers metrics for the team to include Inbound/Outbound calls, talk time per week and E-penetration.
  • Analyse various sales reports and RAD to determine buyer/buying influences and project sales to establish quotas.
  • Resolve complex customer concerns regarding the sale/delivery of products with customer and internal departments such as Sales Operations, Customer Care, customer service, and financial services.
  • Participate and execute account strategy with External Sales Manager and Account managers.

Junior Internal Account Managers

Summary
Responsible for selling the company's products and services to companies with 50 - 200 employees via telephone. Close sales and take orders typically generated by relational account management. Provide technical and administrative information and quote prices. Mail marketing/sales literature to prospective clients, keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as the competitive posture of the company and prepare activity and forecast reports as requested. The mix for the position may vary with the selling role.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sell Dell products and services by: placing outbound customer calls, placing outbound prospect calls and responding to customer inbound calls.
  • Targeted call time on the phone is 180 minutes a day.
  • Establish customer relationships with the "decision making unit" : such as purchasing manager, IT-manager, finance manager, general director and other influencers.
  • Forecast account goals by analysing various sales reports such as, quotas vs. actual performance, lost sales and leasing.
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions and competitors'' products and pricing.
  • To achieve quarterly targets through the management, direction and support of the internal sales team.
