Overview

Your PC comes with the option to upgrade memory. Your operation system and applications all make use of the system memory installed. When you add software applications or upgrade your current applications or OS, the demand for memory increases. Software vendors constantly add functionality and improve interface and performance. To benefit from these improvements and experience a constant performance of your Dell PC, you may need a memory upgrade.

When you add memory, you are likely to notice improved performance right away; applications respond more quickly, web pages become snappier and you will experience a smoother operation if you have multiple applications running simultaneously. A scenario like checking your email, typing a letter, checking a price of some products online and listening to some nice music probably sounds familiar. You should not need to close applications when you use your PC.

If you want to benefit from optimal performance of your PC, a memory upgrade is the best starting point. To get an upgrade you only need to check the current memory installed and look at the Dell memory selector to find the upgrade you need. The next section explains how to do just that.

Be sure to choose memory that is compatible with your PC and that has the quality you expect from Dell. Choose Dell memory.
